Class Information
HiDOC offers a year-round schedule of training
classes for the general public and the competition minded providing the most up
to date training methods in the Antelope Valley. Club members and trainers offer
years of experience in proven methods of obedience training along with extensive
knowledge of dealing with both pure and mixed breed dogs in solving typical behavior
problems. Classes are designed for your dog's age & skill level from Puppy Preschool
and Beginning Obedience through Competition Level Training.
Everyone at HiDOC would like to wish you a
happy holiday season, and we hope to see you in 2008. New classes will begin
in mid March 2008. Please check back for dates or contact
us.

Class Dates: Dates
are subject to change. Please call the club phone and listen to the message to
make sure starting dates have not changed. Rain does cancel class.
Location of all classes: Lancaster City Park,
10th st. West and K-8. Thursday classes meet on the open grass area north of the
children's playground.
Sign ups: begin half an hour before first scheduled
class. |
Discounts: Special
discounts are offered for active military personnel, senior citizens, service
dogs in training and dogs rescued from the Lancaster Shelter.
Vaccinations: For the protection of your dog,
proof of Rabies, Parvo and Distemper required. |

Puppy Preschool

Cost: $60.00 for 8 week session

- Introduction to Basic Obedience
- Head Start for Good Doggie Manners and Social Skills
- Tips on Surviving Your Dog's Adolescence

Clicker Training Tricks NEW!
Instructors: Kyra
Sundance & Chalcy
Cost: $50.00 for 5 week session
Train your dog quickly and easily with clicker training. Positive reinforcement
training methods strengthen and enhance the relationship between you and your
dog as you work collaboratively toward a mutual goal in an encouraging, stress-free,
and fear-free environment. The dog participates in the learning process with
a positive attitude, and actually enjoys working and interacting with the trainer.
Kyra and Chalcy have performed on The Tonight Show,
The Ellen Show, and Pet Star. Kyra is the author of "101 Dog Tricks"
(No previous training required)

Competition Novice
Instructor: Mike
McGrath
Cost: $60.00 for 6 week session
 Learn
AKC Rules & Regulations, Ring Exercises, Proper Ring Etiquette, and much
more. Everything you need to feel comfortable the first time you set foot at
an AKC Trial. Prerequisite: Successful completion of a HiDOC Novice class or
comparable with recommendation of Novice instructor. Class size is limited to
8 teams.
(Dogs must have successfully completed HiDOC's
Novice Obedience course, or the like, and have recommendation from the Novice
Instructor. Enrollment is limited to 8)
